Low staff / Child Abuse /Summary

If the child's physical, physiological or emotional health or development has been in danger or harmed by parents or caregiver, that action it is called the Child Abuse. This activity is against Australian low. Any child has the right to tell to someone who has the authority about bad treatment or experience or anything which relates with Child abuse. There are different kinds of that harmful treatment such as physical abuse which involve kicking, biting and punching. Furthermore, emotional or psychological abuse include constant criticism,ignoring or yelling. Moreover, neglect content inadequate care for children such as basic needs, food, clothing, medical care or education. One more is sexual abuse, involve any action to a child which is not appropriate such as intimate touching, language or act. According to evidence of Australian care and Protection Service there are approximately more then 50.000 reports of child abuse investigated in Australia every year. The Australian low allowed the parents to punish their children if it is moderate and reasonable. That depends of many factors such as age, the thing used for hitting, the reason for punishment and many others. Every child has to be aware of rights they have and action should take if they are abused by someone.The first step is to inform an adult. It could be a teacher, counsellor, policeman or someone whom a child trust to. In Australia, there are some of services who have open lines for help. Some of them are Care and Protection Services, Child Abuse Prevention Service, Kids Help Line and Lifeline.


My personal reflection

In many countries in the world whether they are developed or not there are numerous of children who face some kind of child abuse. In may opinion Society takes a big part of responsibility for that. The number of 50.000 abused children in Australia every year is absolutely alarming. For instance, today more then ever people are breaking moral principals taking the children as a sexual object. Even, they make the porno industry which is absolutely against low. I think that low for any kind of Child abuse has to be more stronger, specially that one for sexual abuse. It is very good to have services which offer a help to children who are abused. However, Australian Government and all society need some more steps to take in process of solving this problem.
